FOR THE MODlFlED NU ARC PLATEMAKER
Turn on the exhaust fan switch to the right of the platemaker and leave it on for the entire time the platemaker is in use.
Turn the power button on.

lnsert your contact frame and black foam rubber spacers into the plexi and wood holder, making sure the frame is secure.

Release the vacuum frame release knob (A) at right and turn the vacuum frame (B) completely over.
Ignore the vacuum features - the vacuum guage, the "vacuum guage" button, and the bleed valve.
The numbers on the key pad indicate "light units", not seconds. Punch in the desired amount of light units. 100 units is a good starting point.
Press the "T" key to start. (the "C" key will stop the exposure at any time.)
To inspect your print, release the vacuum frame release knob (A), turn the vacuum frame (B) back up, remove your contact frame and inspect the print. If necessary, continue adding exposure as before until satisfied.
To repeat the final exposure in a new print, use the same sequence of light units rather than the total light units used. For example, if your print was given three 100 light unit exposures, repeat that sequence rather than one 300 light unit exposure.
To expose manually, press the "manual" button to begin exposure and press again to end.
If the top is not face down, if it is opened during exposure, or if the door at the bottom front is opened, the platemaker will automatically shut off.
