TO MAKE THE SLITS:
Use the feeler gauges of the appropriate thicknesses to space the blades for the slits over a light table. Attach one blade to the opening in the foam core with tape. Align and space the second blade to the first using the feeler gauge as a spacer between the blades and tape it down to make the completed slit. Blacken the blades with a permanent marker.
